Well i think the biggest plus in terms of generating value is that Bitcoin showed us a new way to decentralize. The first step is to decentralize the money world, but you can even go deeper and think about a system in which your id is saved on some type of blockchain. Thanks for your post. You summarized some great ideas! That is why i love steemit :)
Where i live people talk about Bitcoin as they would of Gold.. they don't understand what Blockchain really means for the evolution of Internet. They insist in the bubble thing and it's going to crash, no one can protect your investment, bla bla bla.....
No one says a thing about the technology! specially the news lol
