XMAX - Haven for DAPP Developers & Investors
What is the XMAX platform?
I recently came across the XMAX project whilst reading an article about upcoming Chinese tech projects, it instantly caught my eye.
XMAX is a platform that has been specifically designed for developers to create their own entertainment and games DAPP's on the blockchain.
The team have built a great range of tools for developers to use on the XMAX platform to make DAPP development more efficient.
These tools include an online studio full of templates for social media apps and online games. There is also a 3D game engine that developers can use, it supports 2D, 3D and HTML5.
XMAX have implemented an open development cycle through a voting system that allows gaming communities to vote on how they think future developments should proceed. This is a great idea that involves both users and developers, it gives users more of a say in how things should be done which can be extremely useful.
Other developer tools include smart contract templates, modules and API's, flexible node architecture, virtual machines and educational resources.
Team
The main members of the XMAX team are Ye Cheng (CEO), Alex Nikolaev (Tech Lead) and Christopher Manzano (Community Lead).
Ye is a senior entertainment industry investor, he has years of experience in the entertainment industry and he has managed many large investment funds. He has also helped with the development of Uber & Changba.
Alex is the tech developer of XMAX and also the co-founder of Hashlab.org. He is a massive blockchain enthusiast, he is also passionate about mechanism design and cryptoeconomics.
Christopher is the product manager for the XMAX developer community and he specializes in user experience design. He really believes in the XMAX project and hopes that it can help game and entertainment developers work better in the future.
Did XMAX run an ICO?
The XMAX team didn't run a public token sale, this is because they had such high demand in private sales they didn't need to advertise to the public.
Only partners, venture capital institutions, prominent enterprises, executives and influential investors within the blockchain community were invited to participate in the token sale.
Total token supply is 30 billion and 40% was distributed to the private investors I listed above.
40% will be used for stimulating growth of the community through development and funding of projects run on the XMAX platform.
20% will be reserved for team members, which I think is a respectable amount.
Investors
XMAX have some huge institutional investors including; KFUND Blockchain Startup Foundation, Beechat Foundation, DFUND, Ultron Foundation, AELF Foundation, Achain Foundation, QTUM Foundation, Consensus Capital and many more.
As you can see the names I have listed above are huge crypto capital funds and crypto foundations that provided the backing to allow XMAX to develop their project without the need to run a public token sale.
Listing & Performance
Since 15th June 2018, the XMAX token has been trading on huge global exchange, Hadax (member of the Huobi.pro exchange family).
The token hasn't risen above the initial listing/trading price of $0.003168. However it has only been 5 days since trading started. The 24 hour volume stat was also highest on 15th June at nearly $2,000,000.
The market cap hasn't been updated yet but I'm sure after a couple of weeks of trading that CoinMarketCap will include it on their website.

I am impressed that they sold in the private sale and there was no need to to go public sale. Looks like we will get to see big names soon.

A big part of any project is building a user base and then retaining it. By offering 2D/3D/HTML/DApps they're ticking a lot of boxes and with an online tutorials/templates that will go some way to making sure developers really give the platform a good go.
Yep have to agree they are checking off all the big project requirements while also doing all that’s needed to really get even new developers envolved by really putting effort into tools and tutorials in their plans

I think they have a decent TS and by the way team not running an ICO after a successful private sale tells a lot about the project
This is unique project and that's why I think token got sold out during private sale.
Nice article. In the investors list I seen two know investors - QTum and Aelf Foundation. I was following QTum since long time that was very successful project. And if it is investor in XMX, that's big move XMX.
Yep i follow both Aelf and Qtum so seeing Xmax and these guys as investors is exciting they all have their own niches and target audiences so it makes sense, but i feel like this type of thing could be really big for a project like this to be able to boast considering how big those 2 projects got.
I think qtum have their own blockchain but I don't know much for Alief but I know it's a successful project as well... Spell good on Xmax
I love that they have templates and are doing everything that they can to enable people to actually build DAPP's on their platform, it's refreshing to see.
Yea, that makes like easy for developers and novice, its amazing how they took something complicated and simplified the whole process
Absolutely. Having used a few tool sets in general over the years, I know the things I like are a lot of official guides/tutorials and having an active, engaging community.
Couldn't agree more. It would really help start; I think they could also do some video tutorial to expand or as part of their marketing strategy
really impressive that they sold enough tokens only in the Private Sale. Unfortunately, I missed that. But it is still a good time to invest:-)
