Update on the XMAX project
Several weeks ago I wrote my first blog about the XMAX games and entertainment DAPP development platform. It received a good response from fellow Steemians and I have decided to follow it up with another post.

XMAX is a blockchain entertainment developer ecosystem that allows developers to create their own entertainment and game DAPPs on their decentralised platform. The XMAX team have developed their own Javascript programming language, webx.js, this new language will make it easier for developers to build their own DAPPs.
Foundation and DAPPs
The company will be run as a non-profit organisation and will be managed by the XMAX foundation. The reason why the XMAX team elected to take this decision is because they want to do it for the good of the ecosystem, to make sure the project stays on track and helps their project reach out to, and continue to build a developer community.
DAPP developers will receive community rewards and funding from the XMAX foundation management team. Xmax have designated 15% of funds to encourage developer activity on their ecosystem. They hope tto develop a comprehensive list of around 210 DAPPs.
Back on the 8th June, XMAX released their ecosystem at The World Blockchain Forum Summit in Singapore. They announced some much anticipated news about the first eleven DAPPs that will be released. These first DAPPs are CompassX, CBD, Saturn Chain, Caring Chain, Yanchang FAC, YOULIVE, BitKeep, TRUEDEA, Huacheng Travel Bank, BlockDino and cryworldcup. The highlights for me are CompassX, a decentralised tourism platform and Yanchang FAC, the world’s first decentralized blockchain for idol assets.
Recent Updates and Partnership News
The XMAX foundation management team have been working feverishly behind the scenes over the last few weeks, if we look at recent press releases and social media updates there has been constant improvements made to their system and lots of new bits and bobs introduced.
In the most recent weekly update, XMAX stated they have started a lot of work on the mainchain including the first DB structure, a configuration resolver, a program option manager and a string formatter & logger.
The XMAX team have also resumed development on their sidechains such as Message processing when generating blocks, modified windows development environment, ERC20 structure unit test case, extending the ERC721 structure, storage of executed VM instructions and they have built a sidechain P2P network framework.
There has been two new partnerships with CBD (Cross-Border Data & Credit Ecosystem) and SAC (Saturn Chain).
Cross-Border Data or CBD as it's otherwise known is a DAPP that will be on the XMAX ecosystem. It is a decentralized cross-border data platform and it enables cross-border trade, cross-border finance, and international payments. This week with help from XMAX, CBD secured investment from Chinese venture capital company Manzi. This means they can continue development of their DAPP and it also shows the pull of XMAX that they can help get start ups financing on their ecosystem.
Saturn Chain's (SAC) idea is a protocol that greatly improves blockchain network speeds in terms of TPS, it will combine blockchain technology with sidechains which act as P2P CDNs, and distributed storage, and enabling data sharing. Similar to CBD because SAC will also be on the XMAX ecosystem and they received funding this week from several VC companies which will allow them to develop their project further.
Plans for the Future
For those interested in the technology behind xmax, In Q3 this year, XMAX will build the base-layer infrastructure for their galaxy multichain network. This will then allow XMAX to develop one of their most important features, the blockchain packet system and they can build their ethereum test network.
Later in the year the team will implement a consensus mechanism, develop a virtual sandbox, create native system contracts, design an account system and build a node testing framework.
2019 will see xmax make the final touches to their ecosystem and they will finally introduce support for multiple platforms including Windows, MacOS, Linux, etc.
Hopefully we will see more promotion and marketing which will attract new users to the platform and boost activity on the ecosystem. I also think we will see XMAX get listed on some other exchanges which should increase the amount of XMAX token holders, transactions and exchange trading volume.

I think partnerships are increasingly important in the current Crypto sphere, so glad to see that they have secured them.
Most definitely. Each partnership should bring something new that you don't or can't already do and it shows some professionalism and trust as a team won't be out there forming partnerships if they're about to run off with your money
The SAC and CBD are great deal given at this their focus in the platform and yet they were also able to land partners.

They've been very good at providing updates to the community so far, and they seem to be steaming ahead with work.
Definitely can't fault them for the amount of media coverage they have been putting out and trying to get everyone's attention. And they are using that attention to really communicate how they intend to really make the project great and longlasting

210 Dapps, an ambitious goal. But with the strong community behind it, that should be possible
Strong and active community is definitely a need support for this.
It really is most networks are happy to have a handful early on they are hoping i think that their developer focused push is going to entice a LOT of developers to move over.

According to their road map, when is the next major lunch by the team? I have actually forgotten the plans and timing stated on their road map.
