Safex - development and expansion continues
I've been a big fan of Safex for a while now. Ever since I heard about the idea and proposition it wants to bring to the cryptocurrency and ecommerce markets, I've been impressed by the steps taken by the Safex team.
There were some hiccups along the way, such as the announcement of the Safex wallet which was delayed, but other than that, the business and team have been able to show that they are continuously learning and growing as the project evolves. Importantly however, they delivered a great wallet for holders, that has since seen many upgrades and improvements since its initial release.
The short version of what Safex is, is that it will be an anonymous marketplace that aims to provide its users with quality products and trading opportunities for minimal fees with similar aims as Amazon or Alibaba. Many people have already accused the project of developing an underworld marketplace and screamed 'Silk Road!', but if you take some time to learn more about Safex, you should find that they have been consistent with their goals all along.
You can watch this video that gives a brief introduction to what Safex is and what it plans to do. (I laughed when I saw "today's" price of Bitcoin mentioned - might need updating a little...)
Dan Dabek and his team have been working tirelessly on the project; travelling to meet new investors and partners and keeping the community up to date on developments. To me, this is a great sign for the project regardless of the previous challenges it has faced. We don't often get to hear about the personal challenges that project teams go through, but every week the Safex team provides an honest update regarding where the project is up to.
In the next few weeks the team plan to announce an affiliate program and provide a whitepaper on how the new Blockchain marketplace will operate. This will include details of the new currency to be used on the marketplace, and which Safex holders will receive a share of at the launch of the new Blockchain.
The price of Safex has been recovering well the last week or so. Hopefully with these announcements we should be able to gauge the true value of the Safex coin!
