How to Trade your BNT on MyEtherWallet & More

You now have the option to trade ETH and in return get BNT tokens using MEW.

There are 3 ways you can successfully obtain BNT tokens.

1. Use any of the following exchanges below. Fees are much higher on these exchanges.
   
2. Go to this website.

Please follow the instructions carefully. DO NOT send ETH from exchanges or hosted wallets such as Coinbase, as they cannot accept BNT back and your ETH may be lost. Always remember to use small amounts to confirm the transaction works before sending out your entire amount.

3. This option I found to be a little more difficult than others but this gives you practice using smart contracts.

Step 1: Amount to Send = is the amount of ETH you are willing to trade in for BNT
Step 4: Make sure Read the balanceOf and copy the balance provided in a notepad for now. This is the amount of ETH you sent to the address in Step 1 but this is converted in WEI. Use this if you want to double check.

Example: If I deposited 2.5 ETH it should show 2500000000000000000 as the balance.

Step 5: For the "_value" you will be using your balance (2500000000000000000) in my case.
Once you click write, it will prompt you to this screen. Amount to send here will be 0 and the gas limit 150000, don't use their example. Please note you will want to set the gas price to 50 Gwei, you can find this on top right of your MEW.


After you make the transaction make sure the blocks are confirmed with no errors.

Step 7: Once it is confirmed and you get to this section. The "_amount" will be our balance once again(2500000000000000000) in my case. For "_minReturn" you will want to enter in 1 which will give you the max BNT for the ETH you have deposited. Once you click write, it will prompt you to this screen. Amount to send here will be 0 and the gas limit 150000, don't use their example. Keep in mind if any of these transactions fail you are charged a TX fee so try to get it right the first time.

You should see some BNT in your account if this transaction was confirmed with no errors.

Some tips:
Always double or triple check the address anytime you are sending funds. Always send small amounts first to verify it's legitimate. Never give out your private key or password to anyone.

Last but not least get all of your coins out exchanges and onto a wallet or even better yet cold storage. Cold storage is achieved when private keys are created and stored in a secure offline environment. Cold storage is important for anyone holding coins. Online computers are vulnerable to hackers and should not be used to store a significant amount of coins.
