Market Overview.
As August 1st approaches the market has become more volatile as Bitcoin sucks value from Altcoins, some speculators have been selling their Altcoins for Bitcoins ahead of the anticipated fork so they can have both Bitcoin and Bitcoin Cash not considering a possible drop in the value of both coins post Fork. Now the numbers, the market rose slightly by 2.15% a $1.87B gain to close (GMT+9) at $88.996B, while volume traded was $1.478B a 28.75% drop from the previous day. I expect this drop in volume to continue today and a drop in market cap should follow as we approach the close of day. A total of 830 cryptocurrencies, 186 Assets, and 4,781 market pairs were traded. Bitcoin's market dominance increased to 50.8% of the total market cap.

We have a mixed board although slight changes, Bitcoin BTC carried the day expectedly with a 3.69% growth while Monero XMR had the biggest loss of 4.05%, while all coins on the board held on to their positions. The top Ten cryptos combined market cap rose marginally by 2.94% to close at $78.216B controlling 87.89% of the total market capitalization, while the remaining cryptos retain 12.11%.

Let's welcome Monero XMR to the Board, our biggest gainer with a 62.16% growth (the only positive growth on the board) evicted Zcash ZEC from the board to claim the No.10 spot. Monero XMR may have seen increased investors attention but it was a net negative as it lost 4% of its market cap. The rest of the board remained intact as Ripple XRP recorded the biggest decline of 44.65% in volume growth. Our top 10's combined volume was $1.35B a 29.67% decline, an impressive 91.62% of total volume traded leaving the remaining cryptos with 8.38% of investors attention.
