Bitcoin, Aergo & Ethereum remain no.1 investments in 2019.png
Despite the bear market, few blockchain startups have managed to strategically ink partnerships with existing businesses. Large Enterprises have expressed their interests in this nascent technology and are looking to integrate DLT in their day-to-day-business operation.

Whilst 2018, seems to be a great for startups to raise money through initial coin offerings, many of these projects have left investors devastated at the beginning of 2019, as majority of these tokens have dropped below initial offering price. Many accuse these projects to have failed to achieve slightest bit of adoption whilst have over hyped the value proposition that has been promised

Some enthusiasts claim that 2018 is the year of ICOs however 2019 will be the year of enterprise-ready blockchain solution.

Here is a list of 5 Blockchain-based projects that are making headlines due to the backing of enterprise and big businesses.

Bitcoin

The no.1 digital currency to receive the most attention from enterprises! Financial institutions have begun to focus on providing a wide range of services that would help investors trade Bitcoin. The most liquid and in-demand Digital currency continues to gain more traction over time and will likely remain to be the most enterprise-backed Digital currency in the coming years

Ethereum Institutional Backings & Partnerships.png

Ethereum

The establishment of the Enterprise Ethereum Alliance, has result in Ethereum network gaining the support of large enterprises and financial institutions who are eager to develop applications and services on top of the Ethereum network. A consortium that consists of some the largest corporations and financial institutions in the world, indicate that Ethereum will gain more mainstream adoption if these businesses continues to utilize smart-functionality that the decentralized platform has to offer

Ripple Institutional Backings & Partnerships.png

Ripple

By far one of the most interesting project in the Cryptospace due to network that Ripple is trying to establish. The fact that over 300+ banks, central banks and financial institutions have joined the Ripple’s Network indicate that there is plenty of development happening in the background. While we have yet to determine the real value proposition of Ripple the public digital currency, the company behind Ripple is striking the right deals with existing financial institution that may indicate likelihood of more future mainstream adoption for the project

Aergo Institutional Backings & Partnerships.png

Aergo

Said to be one the most anticipated project of 2019, Aergo is a 4th generation blockchain that was developed using Coinstack, the all-in-one software solution owned by the private company Blocko. The leading Blockchain solution provider in South Korea, has some impressive partnerships with large Korean enterprises such as Samsung, LG and Hyundai whilst also managed to work on several high profile government-backed initiatives. The tight relationship between Aergo and Blocko, give this upcoming project a head start as existing businesses are bound to switch over to a more open source decentralized platform

OmiseGo Institutional Backings & Partnerships.png

OmiseGo

The former company, Omise has already achieved mainstream adoption in Thailand as it’s one the leading payment solution provider in South East Asia. OmiseGo will benefit from the Omise’s clientele, with enthusiasts claiming the project to gain traction in the coming years. The strategic partnerships with McDonalds may help accelerate the process of achieving mainstream adoption

One thing all of the project have in common is that are backed by existing businesses that have either impressive list of clientele or millions of user signed up for the services. This gives these digital currencies a head start in terms of adoption.

2019 may very well be the year for Enterprise adoption, as these projects can tap into their partnerships of existing traditional businesses that have the resources to help a digital currency achieve mainstream adoption

Great overview of some of the biggest blockchain investments/exploration by businesses. Many will fail, but some will thrive.

Very informative...Keep it up

good job, that is informative. carry on dear.

What about steem blockchain, no one wants to backed it up?

Excellent post. My girlfriend works for an insurance company that is looking into backing crypto at the moment. In my opinion it will be a good year for crypto. Everything works in cycles and will only be a matter of time.

The sentiment ICO has almost hit an all time low! I only look at projects that are backed by big businesses. Makes sense. The rest of projects are nothing but digital tokens that have zero value proposition

Some of the ones on this list are ICO tokens.
