MAJOR FIASCO with BitGrail going on (XRB/RaiBlocks wallets in peril)
BitGrail is likely closing all non-EU accounts, and unverified accounts
If you were out of the loop like i apparently was: BitGrail is in a dire state. All Non-EU users are not able to make withdraws, and it seems like they may have to close their accounts unless something changes in the next 2 weeks. The kicker: account holders cannot withdraw XRB (or any other non-BTC coin). Upon termination, the coins are traded to BTC at an (unknown) value, and distributed to the provided BTC addess. Obviously, this seems less than copacetic. It seems like the owner of BitGrail is trying to pull off a major crypto-heist... at lest by appearnces. He can determine the BTC value upon account termination, and thereby get XRB (or any other alt-coin on the exchange) for pennies on the dollar from the non-EU accounts. This is worrisome, to say the least. Here is some more info, straight from the horse's mouth.

I'm not going to tell anyone they should sell or close their account, there are a lot of factors involved in that consideration. I'm personally hopefully the RaiBlocks team will step in somehow to make amends, but i'm not sure how likely that really is. It also seems like the price of XRB (which crashed shortly following this news) will rebound once EU accounts can make withdraws again (these were also temporarily suspended, at least for a few of the wallets including XRB) to arbitrate.
The rebound already seems to be happening
Hopefully this helps bring awareness to some others. I'm pretty worried about the XRB i have stuck on BitGrail right now, as i am an unverified, US user. However, i am hopeful there can be something good made from this (buy low sell high still in effect, even in times like these). I will highlight a portion of the first screen cap below for emphasis.
TL;DR -- Not verified and EXTRA-EU users will have to close their accounts on BitGrail. Do not worry, in case they will receive notice, this is just an anticipation. From the moment that the official statement will be visible on the site, these users will have two (2) weeks for accepting new (upcoming) TOS where will be clearly wrote that EXTRA-EU users won’t be able to use BitGrail accounts anymore. As said already, this is an European company, which can guarantee to operate according to European laws only in European countries.
I have seen conflicting replies from the representative on reddit (presumably BitGrail's owner) about whether other countries will be supported, but based on the lack of clarity, it doesn't inspire much confidence in me.
It does seem account holders will get notice prior to the final account termination decision (2 weeks according to the post linked at the top).
I really hope this helps someone out there. Not sure what can be done now, but being aware of the situation is step 1, so in case you weren't aware i hope this helped.
Follow up: non-EU users will be able to withdraw for 2 weeks after verification if they submit verification documents
