Suppoman Udemy - Superman or Supervillain?

in #cryptocurrency7 years ago

I've become increasingly frustrated watching Suppoman's YouTube content lately and I know that other members of the Steemit community have displayed similar opinions. And no, it's not because he yells in broken sentences all the time, although that is terribly annoying.

Lets start with his most recent exploits. He's been promoting Masternodes hard in the last couple of days

These coins serve no purpose other than to benefit those who pumped early. They have no real world application. But he doesn't promote them until their value has risen to a point at which it has already almost maxed out. Shortly afterwards the whales dump it in massive quantities, the value plummets and the poor people who invested based on his advice end up out of pocket while he benefits. Look at his video on SYNX yesterday. It's criminal.

His response to the massive drop?

He's Inconsistent

I won't stretch to calling him a liar as I have no evidence for that. Thanks to @weareourdesires for raising an interesting point about a few of his videos on Digibyte recently. You can find their post here.

Basically, there are major inconsistencies to what he's telling us in each video.

He always promotes a coin after the boom.

Notice how he never mentions a coin until after it's initial rise? He always mentions how he has made "SAVAGE CASH" on a coin, but not until it's already had a massive spike in value. Strange... Since he's a so called "cryptocurrency expert" why not advise people on these coins before the big pump?

He pumped Digibyte when it peaked - it plummeted.

He pumped Stratis when it peaked - it plummeted.

Hell, he even pumped Steem when it peaked - unfortunately for all of us there was a big correction.

He's arrogant and unprofessional.

The Brandon Kelly fiasco is a prime example. Now, I don't condone the behaviour of either side, but this is not the way to react to any form of criticism.

But this isn't a one off. If you read the comments on his channel some of them are pathetically immature.

The Solution?

I'm not telling you to stop watching his videos. But don't take everything the man says for granted. He is no "cryptocurrency expert". Perhaps he's made some money from riding the wave, but do your due diligence. Research the coin you're looking to invest in. Who are the team behind it? What real world potential does it have? Is there a clear road map for the development of the coin?

To put it simply, don't invest in something because someone on YouTube yelled loudly at you to do so.
