The WeAreDevelopers conference happened recently in Vienna and this came with its own incidences and surprises. Among these were Steve Wozniak’s remarks about Ethereum. During the conference, Wozniak, one of the brains behind the success of Apple said he saw a bright future in the crypto. In fact, he dared compare its future with the current influence asserted by Apple.

Optimism And Enthusiasm Greets The Speech
Wozniak was clearly enthusiastic about Ethereum during his speech at the conference. He was optimistic that ETH was set to replicate Apple’s success if all goes as it ought to. He said.

"Ethereum interests me because it can do things and because it’s a platform."

According to Forbes Wozniak happened upon both Bitcoin and Ethereum in its initial stages. He however divested from crypto at the beginning of this year. He says he still has one Bitcoin (BTC) and two Ethereum (ETH) for his own experiments when paying for different things.

During his opening speech on Thursday at the conference, Wozniak was quick to call blockchain ‘the next revolution’ that is set o change how we do things. He was optimistic that by the end of a decade, blockchain and cryptocurrency will have achieved its full potential.

Comparing Bitcoin To The U.S. Dollar And Gold
Wozniak’s remarks come hot on the heels of his speech at the Money 20/20 in October last year in Las Vegas where he dared say that Bitcoin is indeed better then the U.S. dollar or gold. Wozniak has been involved in several other post-Apple projects. One of these includes his pioneer coding academy, Woz University that boasts of 31 coding centers all across the United States.
