STATUS.IN ICO - Worth investing?

Hi there,

I will start my blogging here to report and analyse new ICO Coins and Crypto News around these ICOs. I will invest in each coin myself, so bare with me if I will report more positively than negatively.  Nevertheless I want to show the potential and the critical points of each ICO including facts and data. 

To keep me motivated following the path of each coin, I need to be invested myself otherwise the fun to blog about that particular coin is not as much as it would be when you bet on Cryptos.

Key Features:

1. Status runs on the Ethereum Network and is a open source messaging platform
2. It aims to be part of next generation of social networks, the socio-economic network.  You can  test the Alpha Version of the DApp on https://test.status.im/

4. Browse, chat, and interact with decentralized applications and decentralized chatbots.
5. Store and control crypto-assets with the built-in Status Wallet
6. With the new Whisper V5 protocol, status will delegate nodes to do offline inboxing (storing messages while clients are offline) and will extend this ability to support push notifications.
7. A core part of the Status Network Token is giving stakeholders the ability to choose the direction that the software is developed. The token is used to make decisions on proposals, which can be made by any Stakeholder.
8. Status intend to implement a non-exploitable online reputation system based on TrustDavis,  Stakeholders can deposit SNT against usernames at a premium, creating a badge indicating a level of value that username holds and the amount of backers they have. Escrow is also in the Pipeline.
9. Spam Filter... This enables stakeholders to set a minimum amount of SNT that a Status stakeholder must deposit in order for someone outside of their network to contact him directly 
10. The Teller Network allows Stakeholders in the Network to find nearby users to exchange their cash for digital assets and currency, giving any smartphone owner in the world the ability to take control of their personal wealth.
11. DApp Directory , this is a big deal in my opinion. The Status DApp Directory provides a way for stakeholders in the network to discover the most useful DApps, as curated by other community members.    APP Store or Android Store for DApps? 
12. Sticker Market ... also a big deal for Asia.  E.g. Line the Stickers are booming in Asien Countries. The messaging app Line for instance derives about a quarter of its yearly revenues from sticker sales, or about $268m USD
13. The Status Acquisition Engine is based on the referral design in the paid user acquisition business model. In this model an Advertiser asks a Publisher to drive trafic to their ofering, paying the Publisher on a cost-per-action basis (for example, a payout on install).

Coin Allocation:

• 41% of SNT created during the Contribution Period will be allocated to the Public Contributors who send ETH to the smart contract address.

• WeChat: Valued at $80+ billion . 
• WhatsApp:  Valued at $100+ billion.
• Line Valued at $8,6+ billion.

My Thoughts:

• The UI and UX looks great that is needed for MASS adoption
• It can hopefully compete with Whatsapp, Line and WeChat. The "Cake" is big for messengers and if Status takes a bit of the cake it will be worth much more than 12 Million CHF
• Status is on the Bancor.Network .. you remember the ICO? 
• There was a Presale on Bitcoinsuisse , keep that in mind.  I am not 100% sure but it seems that only around 7 Million CHF are going into the ICO Token Sale publicly. For Crypto that is low!
• We have a company with Status Research & Development GmbH in Switzerland. That makes me always more confident than only investing in some kind of project without a company behind it. Companies have some rules to follow.
