Don't Freak Out! Take A Deep Breathe and Let the Market Settle
It's so easy to get lost in the chaos of a correction/crash. You have a ton of doom-and-gloom articles being written and even more clickbait-y Youtube videos that are created that spreads even more FUD. The people who want crypto to fail will "remind" you that they "told you so." Ignoring the fact that crashes occur often in the crypto space.
I have to be honest, I didn't expect the market to tank as much as it did. I think a lot of people were scared of regulation news and taxes. South Korea caused a stir too. But look at where we are now. Around $170 billion has come into the sector over the past day alone.
With things as high as they were, a strong correction was bound to happen. Smart investors know this and were prepared for what has happened over the past week and a half. I personally cashed out of several cryptos and only have positions in 2 right now. I'll keep it that way until I see sustained growth, but I'm honestly not looking for 400% in a month again. Not this soon.
To the new investors, understand you don't lose money until you sell. Don't think that just because something is going down, that it'll go down forever. Opposite that, don't think that just because something is going up...then it'll go up forever. This is a HIGHLY volatile market and you need a strong stomach to survive in the crypto space.
I'm not good at price projections, but I will say that I think 2018 will be a strong year for the sector. There's still way too much growth to be had. This isn't even a trillion dollar market yet. But there will be a corrections and crashes here and there along the way. So keep that in mind.
I think Steemit is one of the best investments for the future. Steemit isn't going anywhere and we have one of the best communities in the crypto space. We have a blockchain that is used everyday and by a lot of people with a growing number of accounts. There's no reason to abandon Steemit and I really enjoy being here.

A) Don't invest what you can't afford to lose.
B) Day trading is on par with gambling (and don't forget about taxes!)
C) Investing should be long term, 12 months+, and should be based on firm reasoning and research.
The crash can be hard to watch, but you should be thinking long term. Same with all investments.
