Too much crypto currency talk on Steemit?
Hey Steemians,
Don't get me wrong, I love crypto and this industry. Could talk about it for hours on end. But this is in regards to our platform and what we want to see our community grow into.
A couple friends of mine joined Steemit recently and don't know much about the space, which is fine but they do not respond with all the crypto posts many seem to write. Even myself, I start to get a bit overwhelmed with all the bitcoin and crypto "news".
Obviously this will be a part of this platform and is increased on a day like today but we do not want to push away new users that want everything else and connect with what there interests are. They want to find similar topics that they appreciate and will return to be apart of. This is what will continue to make our community grow and all of us.
Was curious on what others think about this?
Thought it might be an interesting topic based on all the wreckage in the market today and increased posts.
For me it is not too much.... You can always chose anything you want anyway... ^^

Sounds like your friends just gave themselves their own motivation to post the things they want to see more of on the site, if it isn't crypto, they should be providing the content they would like to maybe see and see if it catches on.

I'm still very new to cryptocurrency so I actually loved reading about it. I'm just trying to consume as much information as possible and steem is awesome for that.

There are topics to choose from, and what's the best way to get knowledge about your interest specifically crypto on Blockchain based social media :D

You are right at the moment. A lot of the upvoted posts relate to Crypto. When starting out very little people comment on posts and take a bit of time to get used to. Long term it needs to be more diverse.

I think there is not to much crypto, maybe there is to little of everything else ahah
Maybe 4 or 6 months from now, with more new users we will see other topics getting filled with contente also
