When the market dips overall -- always remember BITCOIN often controls 50% or more of the market -- as the coin with generally the most volume - most worth overall -- and that first mover advantage being first in the space in 2009.
There is a lot of red in the rest of the market and when a HUGE value coin like BTC is up over 4.5% for a day -- it will control a lot of the market GAINS.
But it is important to remain consistent and balanced in things, like I always try to do --- that is why I will continue to share this message overall -- with all the new people coming to crypto/Steemit daily!
Total Crypto Market Cap climbed this week - the last few days --- back to nearing the ATH of $180B to hitting $174B last nite and today!
Do your best to remain calm, look at trends and charts for a week, a month and so on.
Remain in the game. Do not panic sell or buy ever.
Dips are corrections -- not crashes.
Only Invest What You Can Afford to Lose and Invest in Projects/People/Crypto You Believe In.

Looking for Steem to hold at $1 USD (assuming these damned site issues don't scare away anybody... -_-) for the next month or so. After segwit fork in November, with BTC mania subsiding for a bit... perhaps we see steem poke its head back up?

I put off buying XRP on principle because it is a Fed Coin tied to the banks and things I do not believe in. I did finally buy some last year on a dip many many months ago, because I wanted to hedge some of my portfolio.
I rarely budge on matters of principle but I also needed an opposing side hedge from an investment POV.
I just hodl for now.
No opinion on the other.
I get asked for investment advice all the time and generally ignore the questions or give a general answer like - buy what you believe in and do your research but it is you. So you get more.

I replied twice and both were just loading!! I saw 5 who flagged u why??
About a dozen of my posts were flagged - he went back a week and even a couple past payout to damage my rep. If you see the names on the accounts, some were flagged by a lot more than 5 of his accounts --- try 55 bots that nextgen / berniesanders owns. He really does not have good reasons, he always just says my content is crap, calls me names, says I have no community engagement and the latest is--- does not like my formatting/layout of my posts.
Like I said, I am close to being done here -- too many issues and I tried hard for my 14 mths here to be nice, help people, build community, teach others, donate to them etc.
I did my best. I think he sees how hard I have worked, how much content I have posted and now I am in the top of nearly every category and says I am overpaid.
I lost a lot of support with whale collusion over a couple things, and labelled by some of them, and my $15 posts are apparently over rewarded.
But it is OK to follow your comments all day long being mean to people and contributing nothing else --- and every comment your 55 bots vote you up $2.50.
And so I am abusing a vote trail LOL and he creates no content, and hates my content.
If it was fair or balanced, that is one thing but too many hypocrisies here.
Steemit did nothing all the months he has harassed and taken money and rep. score from people with flags, so they are OK with it.

My love for this place was so strong, and has dwindled, watching the problems, collusion, excuses, harassment of people, while they literally do the same things they accuse others of, kinda like I said.
I just see all the work I have put in, like many others -- the place having / tolerating all these injustices, and my love has grown cold here, I am not convinced it will actually go anywhere really.
Why is the currency still at the $1. or 1.20 mark for basically the whole last 12 mths, while users (bots) and accounts are now around the 400,000 mark?
The market seems to be speaking and seeing the same things.
I don't like bullies and collusion and corruption IRL and my pics and posts show me actually on the front lines confronting politicians, police harassment, why should I tolerate it here?

I have been dollar-cost-average buying via Coinbase for a few years now using the ‘recurring buy’ option, and last year that $25 per week (or $1300/year)—which is basically “coffee money”—is today valued at almost $8000. My point in saying this is that there isn’t any reason one couldn’t spend a little of their high-flying bitcoins on a weekly basis to buy altcoins that they feel really confident about. Personally, I don’t think any of them hold a candle to Bitcoin long-term but I hodl some ‘just in case’.
