Stories of a Crypto Noob
Well, as a complete crypto noob I too was dazed by tales of overnight riches bestowed upon those crazy enough to invest in a digital currency considered among the populace as the preferred method of payment of drugs and arms dealers.
After extensive self examination - am I sane? Is this exactly what my grandchildren are going to remember me for, squandering away the few dollars I have been able to save for my kids? - I decided to take the plunge and become a fully fledged CRYPTO INVESTOR.
Now, for those of you that haven't already had the pleasure of investing your hard earned into cryptocurrency, I can simply say that the dreams of palaces, Lamborghinis and exotic travels were on my mind since day 1.
You too will probably feel the same way when you decide to enter the crazy world of crypto.
#Step 1 - Open an account with an exchange
This seemed to be the easiest thing to do. I have opened hundreds of accounts with online platforms, businesses, social media sites etc.
Well, easier said than done: sure enough, I decided to enter the world of digital currencies at the same precise moment of other millions of people. Yup. So pretty much all the exchanges had a waiting list of two weeks. TWO WEEKS??? But I have to buy crypto so that I can become rich overnight!! Nothing, they didn't listen. Two weeks it is.
After taking pictures holding an A4 piece of paper with the exchange name and a handwritten note showing my name and that I was indeed of sane mind and wanted to be given the privilege to waste, uhm, invest my money with them, I uploaded all my documentation and waited for that fateful reply email.
Which came, after about 16 days of excruciating pain from seeing thousands of people making 300% profits on some coins.
To be continued...
It's insane where crypto is going. Newb here, invested around 700USD this month during the lows for the first time. Glad I didn't do that...posting my face everywhere. But hey we all learn from our mistakes and others. I'll be checking in for part 2!
Thanks for replying.
As I'll be writing later I instead bought at the ATH (All time high), because that's what I do... HAHA
Some exchanges are also limiting new registrations so it's great you managed to get in after the 2 weeks.
They did almost all month of January, that's true. Some still do. Thanks for replying. Stay tuned for more stories of a crypto noob.
