This is how Bitcoin would look like if it existed in paper

Matthias Dörfelt, an artist from Los Angeles,  decided to create physical representations of the virtual currency. He selected 64 blocks from the blockchain and used an algorithm to create 64 bitcoin bills.

This algorithm translated the number that identifies each of the block hash in a colorful and abstract but beautiful design. The bills may seem like those we are used to see but they are fundamentally different. Instead of a number in the upper right corner, it shows a number that represents the volume of transfers, or how many transactions occurred during a certain  interval and that were stored in that block.

There are more interesting details on these bills. The signature "Satoshi", refering to the person or anonymous group that invented bitcoin, and the geometric shapes of misterious faces, which refer not only to the anonymity of the creator(s) of the coin, but also to the anonymity that the bitcoin grants to the owner.
