Why could AI be dangerous, and could it be used for crypto?

What is AI?

Well first of AI stands fro artificial intelligence. You most likely knew that... But if we really break down the term, it means that we create intelligence in an unnatural way if you will. (That does not equal to it being bad). But when we create AI, it always has a purpose, and we can do so that it's purpose is the most important thing for it. A great example is the paperclip example. Say we want to create as many paperclips as possible, and to do so we create an AI, that has to find a way to create as many paperclips as possible, it is its life mission. If we create an AI that is smarter than humans, it might go out of control and enslave the entire human population to create paperclips. It would do this because we actually told it to do so... This is also the reason some people think we live in a simulation. Because an super smart AI realized that the best way to make humans do what it want, is to make them believe they actually do what humans want... If that makes any sense?

AI for crypto mining?

I have often been wondering if using an super intelligent AI would be useful to mine cryptocurrency. I actually don't know if this is already being done, i do not know a whole lot about crypto mining. Maybe AI could be the solution to the problems i know bitcoin has faced, in terms of it being to energy consuming. A smart AI could possibly help the cause and help bring down the cost of mining. And to go a little of topic i have to say i think one of the biggest problems with crypto is actually the constant price changing. I am a ferm believer that crypto can benefit society, but if we really want to implement cryptocurrency, we also need to know that the money we have today, is roughly worth the same tomorrow.

AI controlling our money?

If you read my last post about the financial crisis, you will know that fraud and general stupidity is mostly what caused the melt down of the financial sector. A super smart AI, could also be useful for governments trying to control banks and make them not give out loans the loan taker can not pay back. A smart AI could overlook, and help decide wether or not a loan is good or bad. Giving out loans to everybody might help create a sudden growth in wealth and living standards but in the long run, it is just not sustainable. Therefor an AI that can help control the bank could be a great thing. But again we have to make sure, that this AI does not become super intelligent, because allowing it to have influence and acces to our financial world can be a great risk. Finance is one of the most important things in our modern society wether you like it or not. It has influence on politics and if a super intelligent AI, can control finance it might be able to use it against us... And yes i do have my tinfoil hat on right know...
