The Media and Bitcoin LOL

What is the purpose of the media? Is it to provide information or confusion? It's very clear the goal is not the former. If it were, it certainly wouldn't be exciting enough to be called "news"--it would be "Sorry, we don't have a clue--check in tomorrow."
