I think they have to consider it given the efficiencies that can be gained and the interest so far around the world. However, I highly doubt they will allow users to monetize it as it will circumvent the source of their income. They also just announced trying to use downvotes to detect fake news or harassing posts so they are already taking steps to control the flow of information which does not necessarily mix with decentralization. However, with their resources they could definitely figure out a way to make it work for them. Ultimately, it may be good as it will lead to additional adoption in the space.
Wow that is mind-boggling.

bring it right @luu78?
the article said an insider knew fb was putting a lot of $ into it
Interesting news how Facebook bans all crypto ads, yet people are still finding ways to promote cryptos on the platform by using alternative characters like an "0" within Bitc0in so it's not initially flagged.
I wonder, if this happens would they be communicating with RDD and SEND potentially buying them out.
Not that I'm a huge fan of Facebook but with their userbase they should roll out their own blockchain. Then game developers could release tokens for their FB games on the FB blockchain. I'm sure there would be plenty of other uses for Facebook's own blockchain, that was just my first thought.
