However, the values of cryptocurrencies are based on their exchange into fiat money. Unless everybody starts using to purchase goods and services, it's quite unlike that we'll see fiat money completely disappear. The cryptocurrencies space is just at its nascent stage and there are more developments in the blockchain technology which will push its adoption mainstream.
