EOS Restriction to the U.S.steemCreated with Sketch.

So I wrote an email to the guys at [email protected]. They told me and I quote...

"It was decided that U.S. citizens, residents or entities should be excluded from purchasing EOS Tokens in the token distribution because of some of the logistical challenges associated with differing regulations in the many stated of the United States of America. block.one does not believe that the distribution of EOS Tokens or the EOS Tokens themselves are securities, commodities, swaps on either securities or commodities or similar financial instruments. The EOS Tokens are not designed for investment or speculative purposes and should not be considered as a type of investment. Nevertheless, U.S. citizens, residents and entities should not purchase or attempt to purchase EOS Tokens."

So my understanding is (and please comment if I am wrong) basically the reason for US restriction with EOS is because the people in block.one doesn't really want to deal with the political and regulation bull$#@t with the government of the United Scumbags of America (really meant towards the politicians). So they decided all together to exclude the U.S.. Personally, I don't blame them as I don't appreciate the government of a so-called "free" nation weaseling their way into my business and giving some half baked and lame excuse to justify their actions.

What do you guys think? eos.JPG

America mate.. :(

Pretty much but can you really blame them lol? Best way to avoid government bs is to stay out of their jurisdiction 😁
