Hey everyone!

As we experienced today a, in my opinion very very frightening, moment in cryptocurrency history I decided to sign up here on Steemit and share my thoughts with you. Usually I'm on Twitter(@prt_xmr) but this is far too huge for 140 characters.

Everyone who reads this: Please take a step back and think what the basic idea and vision of cryptocurrencies were... Right, the vision was to enable the people to have full control over their money, to not depend on a centralized government authority and to have (full) privacy for the users transactions.
But to be honest the second point is by far the most important one. And lets be - another time - honest there was a trend in the direction that GOVs are getting in control of OUR cryptocurrencies (Just to mention a few things: SECs decisions about ICOs, Ripple cooperating with the big banks, Russian stock exchanges trying to list cryptocurrencies and much more).
But the thing now happened was for me the point to not be quite any longer and say something. The fact that a simple national bank can simply ban ALL new currency projects is just criminal and shows how much fear on the one hand the GOVs have but also on the other hand that we can’t just sit back and watch what is happening. We need to stand up and fight for the (actually BASIC human rights) -> Freedom of the internet, privacy and self-control.
One thing I would find much more productive is to let the people, together with the GOVs, discuss which ICOs are really scam and which have a legit right to exist. Furthermore it would be much more useful to restrict all forms of speculation with cryptocurrencies -> That is already happening enough in stock markets, CFD, … . With restricting that the volatility would tremendously decrease and that would be the first very important fundamental to implement digital assets as legit currencies all over the world.

So let’s all get together, let’s all unite to fight the centralized elites taking over the power over OUR cryptocurrencies!
