Speculations on crypto - bad thing?
Here and there, I can hear people whining that "you, bloody crypto speculators, make our precious Blockchain thingy rotten and smelly!!!1 "
Even my granny (she's 84) begged me yesterday not to "get involved into that illegal bitcoin" and "don't get in jail with that thing"!! I'm serious! =)
Posts like this appear daily:

Ok, ok, that's partially true, but all the crypto speculations make people speak about them. It means, cryptos are becoming more famous, it leads to wider adoption. So, it basically makes great contribution to the whole ecosystem.
Ask someone at the street today, what a Bitcoin is, and more likely, you'll get some blurry answer. Now let's go back to 2014 or even 2012. I bet, the most common answer will be "Whaaaa...? Beat Coin? why would you do that?!" =)
Constantly growing BTC price make it look shiny and the thing to be interested in. It makes more people used to it existence, more comfortable with it and more prepared to the crash of the current situation with fiat currency (oh, I really hope it will happen and I'll see it live).
To prove my point, I offer you to see, what will be at the end of the year at the market - will "technologically advanced BCC" dominate over "outdated and glitchy BTC". I bet, it won't. Because people buy Bitcoin, not the technology behind it. News talk about it, not BCC ;)

Well your thinking is fully true to me. Whenever I see someone criticize Bitcoin. Honestly I just don't give a fuck to them. I am not also a big fan of Bitcoin. But the thing is as a technology enthusiast I know the power of this underlying tech. Just think there is no Bitcoin and You are going to make something that you will help people to send money to each other from all over the world. Will you say this will have no value. The thing is they don't understand it that's why they criticize. and to talk about BTC and BCC. Obviously Bitcoin will be the winner. Thank You.
mass-media is strong, people are mostly stupid and overloaded with information, so they will never check the crap they hear from TV.
Blockchain is not the easiest thing to understand (you know what I'm talking about if you ever tried to explain to someone, how the blockchain works =) )
Everything new is scary for people (we are still animals with primitive instincts with that) and the word "speculation" itself sounds like "creating money out of nothing" so, that's how I think the current situation can be explained =)

Speculation is normal and people will learn about cryptos much more very soon as the dollar tanks. And the day is not so far when the dollar will be replaced by a crypto currency.
I'm not actually happy about crypto replacing dollar.
