According to coindesk, today at the Consensus Invest conference, Van Eck's digital asset director and strategist Gabor Gurbacs announced that VanEck is working with Nasdaq to bring "regulated Crypto 2.0 futures type contracts" to the market. Bloomberg reported earlier today that sources said Nasdaq is seeking to launch bitcoin futures in 2019.

there's always a need for DLT solutions, the banks are not fit to handle every need of a contemporary person in this age of global trades.
my guess is, pretty soon banks will start incorporating different instances of DLT into their system.
