US authorities created a false ICO to draw attention to scams in crypto market!!!!
Among American authorities' efforts to prevent cryptomonas scams, U.S. The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), a governmental agency created by Congress to regulate securities markets and protect investors (a kind of USF of the Americans), created an initial counterfeit currency (ICO) offering it hopes pulls alarm signals for fast-track enthusiasts.
The SEC has set up HoweyCoins.com, which leads people to an informational page about dangers in the digital money market when they click the "buy coins now" button.
We created the fake HoweyCoins.com website as an educational tool to alert investors to possible fraud involving digital assets such as crypto-currencies and currency bids, "writes on the site you get if you want to buy the Howey coin .
The site is a elaborate stunt of US authorities - HoweyCoins.com contains even a white paper (a document in which crypto creators include more information about that currency and its underlying technologies) fake.

The SEC went through the creation of false Twitter celebrities supporting Howey Coin, writes The Verge, and the site states that the digital currency is approved by the US authorities.
Overall, it's a fairly good fake - if it were true, the page probably convinced at least a few investors to give Howey Coin money.
