Personal Thoughts on OmiseGo
I think OmiseGo (OMG) is one of the few safe projects out there that you can get into for the long haul and get massive returns even with the current entry price.
OmiseGo has an established team of specialists that are already known in FinTech for collectively creating billions of dollars of value. The team running the project have already built Omise, one of the largest payment networks in South East Asia. And, to top that, OMG has some of the best creators in crypto backing it on the advisers' board.
But, that's nothing you can't look up yourself on the official website..
I personally think OMG is the safest bet you could make in crypto today. The project just launched a few months ago and are still an ERC20 tradable token on the Ethereum blockchain. Their ultimate goal is to have their own separate blockchain and to provide decentralized exchange and payment gateway services that could bridge the gap and provide an essential payment solution across countries Southeast Asia. And, to make their own white-label wallet SDK available that would be currency-agnostic and supporting cross-wallet transactions.
OMG is a platform play. If you don't know what that means, lookup Microsoft, Google, or any other large company that have based a huge part of their business model around building stages that creators can then use to host their own creations. Platform plays have proven to be very profitable in the long run, just lookup Ethereum's valuation after it started hosting other smaller projects' tokens on it's network. As a rule of thumb, the platform will always be more valuable than any app that could be built on top of it.
Though, OMG were getting some negative reactions from investors lately for not sharing much news about development. But, that's only because they don't want to hype their own project and cause major price fluctuations. If you look at the price, it's one of the most stable assets in crypto today. Crazy movements and hyped speculation aren't good for something you want to to be invested in for the long haul.
Last but not least, in the near future, OMG aims to let investors share the network revenue coming from transaction fees through its PoS design. So, if you have a large enough investment by then you could be making a stable income from that and that should also be enough incentive for other investors to hodl OMG in the long run and provide more upside potential.
