Is true anonymity possible?

Anonymity refers to a person's identity remaining unknown or at least in some sense not being known to a greater or lesser degree . However today we see web search engines , browsers and even operating systems claiming true anonymity , one must not be mislead by these claims. While its true that these tools make you secure enough you will still be known in some sense to the parties interested in you, since the moment you communicate you express you're essentially letting the other party know something about you whether it's the digital world or in real life . Thus what we see as being promoted as anonymous is actually pseudo-anonymous which has been there since ages writers used pen names or entirely made up identities in order to publish their books it was also used by freethinkers, rebels of the past to communicate their ideas among their followers .
