CEX changes in combined market share in 2024

Last year crypto market has seen some huge changes in exchange market share, according to CCData. It's interesting to see how differently exchanges performed, with some actually losing ground. Major CEXs like Binance and OKX experienced noticeable declines. But bitget and coinbase has gained significant changes

What stood out to me was how much Bitget's market share increased, with a 4.05% jump, placing them at the 10.5% mark and even making them the 4th largest exchange by trading volume. I mean, this shows that their focus on user acquisition and engagement has really paid off with an innovative approach in the market.

With such contrasting trends, I’m curious what factors will be the biggest drivers of market share in 2025?
