Steemit is nurturing a generation of cryptotraders
"It looks like all steemians will become traders." @oldtimer, 2017.
This is the quote that made all the lights in my head go POW!.
Everywhere you look on steemit people are writing about Crypto and trading. People who used to write about food, cooking, science, art are now slipping in CRYPTO posts with their experience on trading, buying and holding. I include myself in this list for sure.
It's not all happy posts, a lot of people - again, me included - are disillusioned and not fit for a trader-like strategy. Too fast, the emotional rollercoaster is just TOO much too handle. I know a lot of you agree with that.
On the other hand, some love it! They write some good analysis and play the odds. If the ExpectedValue is in your favor and you manage the risk..why not play the game?
I heard a term today that I loved--> Altcoin roulette. HA!
Let's spin ittttttttt!!
[ Ok, it's more like a wheel of fortune than a roulette...but that's how deep my PS skills go :)) ]
So people are maturing in this crypto thingie. They are growing to know their strength and weaknesses and are doing their best to not lose money and even - should I say? - make some money back!
And there are A LOT OF THEM.
We're talking of an unheard number of people concentrating on crypto and cryptotrading entering the market and buying stuff. People that were noobs 6 months ago but are well, less than noobs now. And it's all powered by Steemit.
Because Steemit basically forced a bunch of people to get into crypto. You wanted rewards? You had to learn!.
That's brilliant, mischievous and incredibly sly.
I think in the next years, we'll be hearing more and more from people who started here and moved up in this world. It's not for me but I am sure it's something that is gonna happen.
Knowing all this, I think we need to start A Steemit Academy of Cryptotrading.
Well, someone should, I just want to sign up :)
For now we have a fw people putting up good crypto content. Who's you favorite?
This is such a positive and empowering post you are sharing with us, thanks!
There are in deed many incredible people directing us toward proper trading here on STEEMIT, luckily for us. All for one and one for all! Namaste :)
So glad you enjoy it, man! I'm never posting positive stuff for positivity's sake. If I post it I believe it :)
namaste
Steemit is indeed helping people get better. Let's think about all the photographers, story tellers, poets and investigators that Steem(it) has created in the past year.
Let's also not forget all the meme creators. Cheers to them also!
Motivated people can do a lot of cool stuff :)
I hated the corrupt systems stock market and grew up poor, so I never invested in stocks or owned any, and the more I learned the less interest I had in participating. But with steemit, trading been such an awesome development in my life that Steemit helped make happen.
It's funny to look back at my blog from last year through now to see how crypto posts started to creep up from infrequent to regular...
Steemit: Generating content and crypto traders publicly, since 2016
That's a very common experience around here I feel. So glad you're around, dude! Following your story b t way. Reading on the phone every night!
I also wanted to tell you, but I forgot, to check this series. I think you'll enjoy it:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Void_Trilogy
Thanks Raz, can't wait to get together at the next Steemfest!
That Void Trilogy looks like the exact kind of sci-fi I've been needing for the NYC subway, just downloaded the first book after reading the synopsis, great recommendation!
I really hope blockchainfiction starts to blossom more, too. Sci-fi + Blockchain Tech have been all I can think about when I'm not trading haha
The book is actually a sequal to his earlier books. I read this first and the imagination and crazyness...it's amazing. You don't need to read the first books, you'll get it as you go along.
It's long though. But the payoffs are worth it and the wealth of ideas are incredible.
The blockchain, indeed, is the perfect medium to set a sci-fi story on it. I'm surprised Gibson did not came up with it first :))
Yeah I saw that there were other books and saw that I didn't have to start there. I like that. And I like very long stories or series of stories that happen in a universe. I'm looking forward to reading this.
have you checked out the dystopian sci-fi blockchainfiction - The Blockchain Explorer series in working on? Trying to produce content where I was it existed already haha. I'd love any feedback you might have!
This post is 100% true!
