Enhance your TradingView experience

in #crypto2 years ago

I’ve started Pinescripting in 2016 as a hobby. Quite quickly people started ask me to help write stuff, some raised questions on how I feel about certain features. There are a bunch of nuances, but in this article we are going to discuss the restrictions part and how I’ve managed to get around those.

But first, let me tell you a prehistory. Don’t get me wrong, as of today, I still use TradingView to create ideas with my very own indicators that you can find here, but I don’t pinescript anymore for about two years and I don’t have a reason strong enough to pay for it since it’s not as useful as I’ve thought it was from the beginning. People were happy to use my scripts for free and I gave everyone the opportunity to use it for a whole year, no one complained. But the day I’ve offered my subscribers to donate me, so that I could pay for my account, no one did and I’ve realized that I had done quite a lot of work for myself. People don’t appreciate it and I don’t have time, so I’ve just moved on, switched to a free plan which was enough for me. Some people wrote me back then, some still do ask for access to my scripts, but I can’t do anything about it and therefore my answer is that I would be happy to give you access as soon as you pay for my account. I can’t manage access from a free plan account, simple as that. Some people even offered to help me manage my time to create more ideas and gather attention, but I really don’t have time to create ideas on TradingView to catch someones eye on a consistant daily basis. Believe it or not, I have a lot of fun doing what I do.

Now let’s get to the business.

A free plan gives you up to 3 indicators and 1 watchlist. But there is a serious problem, if you want for example to watch all Binance pairs you’ll quickly find out that there’s >2000 pairs on Binance and you can’t add all pairs you want to one watchlist, it’s impossible. Furthermore, it is your responsibility to add listed pairs on your watchlists. So even if you have a Premium account with unlimited enhanced watchlists you still have a lot of work to do on a daily basis, especially if you use >1 exchanges. This is why I created Enhanced TradingView.

This tool is based on a TradingView widget
I’ve added three buttons in the top right: Listings, Settings and Watchlists

Watchlists

As of today, there are 11 major cryptocurrency exchanges listed
72 watchlists and >11000 pairs
You can use a Search and add to your Favorites

Settings

Here you can choose style, interval and indicators you want
Beware, it will affect your watchlists length! As more indicators you choose the less the amount of pairs in each watchlist and more watchlists as a result

Listings

Last but not least
Every single pair listed on any of those exchanges are immediately added to a search (Watchlists)

If you want to be aware of the latest listings you can install Tickerbell extension/addon to your browser. It’s listed on 247 markets and is absolutely free of charge!

If you feel like you want to appreciate my work, donate
