Steem Value dropping?? What the hell is happening? HEELLLPPPP!!!
Just as i was about to enjoy my first steemit earnings, i notice a huge drop and panic going on. What a joy kill, haha.
From what seemed to make every steemian have a merry holidays just few weeks ago to a massive panic attack barely a month later is what am still trying to understand.
I also noticed earnings from my previous post have had a consistent drop by a whooping $9 as it gets closer to payout. Am a total noob here and to the whole crypto world, and these drastic changes is a little bit confusing. I have strong believe in this platform not just for the moment but for the future., but does the current instability affect the future of steemit? What needs to be done to maintain its stability? I also predict a major drawback from the people that were attracted to this platform when the SBD was on the all time High, expecting a financial saviour off this platform without really understanding how it works.
Few days ago as i was sharing my hype about this platform and crpto currency world to a very LEARNED friend, her comment was " do not get too excited,It bubbles already !! Soon will collapse with no true value ! I enjoyed it for sometime but nope" and few days later, everybody who is investing seems a blaze in panic, could her words hold any truth?
I have been reading a few articles already about this, but the more i dig deep, the more confusing as everybody has varrying thoughts on what is and what not. I am seeking clear insights from people that understand this platform well and can be of much great help to noobs like me. Please share your insighful thoughts on the comments bellow. Will be greatly appreciated.

Nothing but FUD. If you can't hold on to it you'll drop dead. I've enjoyed the 1-2$ Steem and Steem Dollars. Most people stayed here when the value were cents. Look where those people are now?
Look at my wallet too. The way I see it. Everything is still x4 and x5! And soon it will multiply even more!

The latest drop in price probably has to do with the South Korean exchange raids, and fears of crypto prohibition there (though as of now such seem unfounded).
In general though, the amount of money in fiat (i.e. USD) that you get paid for posts and comments is calculated based on the STEEM market price. It's normal for such to fluctuate throughout the day. As more people join Steem and cryptocurrencies in general, volatility should decrease.
Yess, thats one more thing i learnt ad well...praying for stanikity in this platform as people, alot of them infact are joining .
It's always sad when things drop, but things rise again, and I never look at things like Steemit as a get rich quick scheme, you reap what you sew and sometimes what you learn can be as valuable as currency.
True as everyday seems to be a learning experience here. Soo many people have very valuable information to share. Which is very awesome,
Am a newbie to, and yes I agree its disappointing when it drops, but I guess it will rise again if you look at its previous tends. I try not to get too involved with the price of Steem or my other Crypto, I have friends who bought into it a year ago and they are 10x better off now so, where will we be in a year as more join.??

To me Crypto is like a rise and fall thing. You have to watch it and act fast. But i believe very soon steem will get better.
Acting fast sometimes lead people to panic selling and buying.. Ifeel studying and reserching the trends is much better., yeah? Also learning tk hold in to dear life. Haha

Crypto has ups and downs. Steemit won't make you rich overnight. It takes time, dedication and persistence.
I have made a lot of money in the last six months with crytpo. Mostly due to what I learned on Steemit and then applying that to trading with #bitshares. It feels depressing to see values of the coins you hold go down, but I got most of them at much lower prices or by writing on Steemit.
In short, crytpo still can be life changing. But it isn't always going to be easy.
