Mine Crypto Currency on your Cell Phone with Electroneum's Mobile Miner
The name of the game in the "Crypto Space" is mass adoption. The more people that "adopt" or use a particular coin (due to it's utility) the higher probability of success.
Electroneum or ETN is a very interesting project in part because of it's roadmap to coveted "mass adoption".
They've created a Mobile Miner!
Yes, that is correct, you can now mine ETN coins on your cell with the touch of a button.
A caveat that's inconsequential to the end user is that you're not actually mining but are having the experience of doing so, including receiving payouts of ETN.
You may be asking, "Why would Electroneum do this? What's in it for them? Why are they giving away free ETN?
According to the founder, Richard Ells:
"Simple - we want to spread the word about how easy Electroneum is to use and get involved with. It's the easiest cryptocurrency in the world to get started with. Our mobile miner introduces people to cryptocurrency - without ANY risk. We are rewarding everyone who gets involved in the Electroneum project by allowing them to earn cryptocurrency via our free Android app."
So now what? You're "mining" ETN on your cellphone, what can you do with it?
This is where the story gets even more interesting.
According to the Electroneum website:
Once users have Electroneum in their wallets they will start to want to experience spending cryptocurrency for the first time. That’s where the second benefit of our partnerships with mobile operators makes all the difference.
Our partners have agreed to begin the process of accepting Electroneum as payment from their customers. We are currently in negotiation with some enormous global brands who have expressed strong interest in adding Electroneum digital payments to the list of 'ways to pay'.
We already have signed agreements in place to develop Electroneum payment integration for over 1.2 million agents, dealers and distributors in over 9 countries and have many more in negotiation.
As with all disruptive technology, the market’s entrepreneurial spirit will find ways to accept and use Electroneum as our numbers of users grow into the 10s of millions.

Don't we all have friends and family that have yet to take the plunge into CryptoMania because they find it too complicated? Would they not be more likely to "dip their toe in the water" if they could earn some coins with the click of a button and possibly even use them to pay for their cellphone bill?
With the Electroneum Mobile Miner the barrier to entry is all but eliminated unless they're still on a flip phone of course :)
At less than .08 a coin I consider Electroneum a welcome speculation. If they can execute on their game plan moving forward as well as they have up to this point I believe we may have a winner on our hands. Only time will tell!

Holy crap this is cool! My bet is that the actual "mining " returns are pennies but what a fantastic way to get everyone involved.
Personally, knowing android apps, I am going to wait until there is an IOS app as I am a little paranoid since the spyware flashlight apps.

According to the Press Release here's what one can expect to earn.
What can you expect to earn?
We will be fine tuning the system over the next few weeks as we see how the mobile miner works with hundreds of thousands of users. We don't know what our "average" user's smartphone mining power is, but we expect users to be awarded a few US dollars of ETN value per month by running the app in the background. It doesn't use much data or battery life, but remember if your mobile data is expensive it is up to you to ensure the mining does not cost you money. Use it on wifi initially to understand the amount of data it uses.
I was initially introduced to ETN by a newsletter that I've been following for years that has a great track record on picking winners. I looked into it a bit further and decided to throw a few hundred bucks at it and pick up a few thousand coins. Should be interesting to see how this pans out moving forward. They've been hitting all of their milestones and we'll see how this roll out goes and what 2018 and beyond bring. :)

It is the easiest to setup for Windows, OSX or Android of any of the miners.
Ok got it. The interesting thing about ETN is that you're not actually mining so but are simply experiencing it so they're virtually just giving it away if you run the program on your cell phone. The intent being to gain exposure. They're also in the process of negotiating with cell providers such that you can use ETN to pay for your cell phone bill. It's a very lofty goal but they've made some significant progress towards it. We'll see.
