A Virtual Gold Rush In The Making..
A virtual gold rush is in the making, and i think this information is pure gold (pardon the pun) and wanted to share it with everyone here on steemit!
I recently came across a little known game called prospectors.
It's a real time economic strategy game set in the 1800s gold mining fields. The aim of prospectors is to mine gold, you setup gold miners and equip them, plot land and start digging for gold. There are many different options, functions and upgrades along with many variables to keep the game interesting.
This game is one of the first games in the world where you can earn real money playing the game, as the gold you are mining is actually PGL tokens - An ethereum based token.
PGL tokens will be used in the game to purchase upgrades and items to build your mini gold mining empire.
When you mine enough gold, you can withdraw those tokens to an exchange and trade them in for bitcoin, and then in turn convert that bitcoin in to cold hard cash.
Today i noticed on coinmarketcap that the total supply of PGL tokens is 220M, although the circulating supply is 64.5 million.
Where are these other tokens i wondered? I went into the Prospectors telegram group and asked..
110 million tokens are hiding in 'dem goldfields!
This means.. at the current price of 25 cents per PGL token, more than 25 million dollars is hiding in those virtual gold fields..
This token could potentially go to a dollar or two if the game was popular, which would mean there is more than 100 million dollars hiding away in the game.

The game still needs alot of work, but i have a feeling once the game is launched and more people realize how much free virtual gold is sitting in the game.. well it's going to be a virtual gold rush isn't it :)
I know i already bought myself some tokens and am ready to setup my virtual gold mining empire.. i wonder how much i could earn by playing a video game?

Playing this plus appix and Steemit means I can finally earn a living by not leaving the house?? How exciting!
Yeah it's awesome, i think now there are at least 10 social media sites coming out similar to steemit, then we have multiple video and multimedia platforms that pay you to post content.
This will create a massive online industry, especially for people in poorer countries to it will give them to ability to earn a reasonable income online.

Yeah it won't be long, they have to do beta testing for a while, and then the game will be reset and the tokens in the game will be real.
