List of 13 crypto asset traders listed on Bappebti

KONTAN.CO.ID - JAKARTA. In recent times, bitcoin's prestige has been shining. This can be seen from the movement of bitcoin prices that continue to rally and break new records.

After breaking through the figure of US$ 50,000 or around Rp 700 million (exchange rate of Rp 14,000) as of yesterday, Tuesday (2/17/2020), bitcoin is now trading at a range of US$ 51,346 per coin or reaching Rp 718.84 million. Within 24 hours, the price of bitcoin had risen 4.82%.

The price of bitcoin that continues to crawl up causes many people to start looking at these crypto assets as one of the investment options.

In Indonesia itself, regulation related to crypto assets is under the supervision of the Commodity Futures Trading Supervisory Agency (Bappebti).

Investors interested in investing in bitcoin can register an account on the company's page of crypto asset traders who have registered with Bappebti.

Please note, to date there are only 13 companies that have been registered and supervised by Bappebti.

Head of The Bureau of Development and Market Development Bappebti Sahudi said there are several rules related to crypto asset trading companies.

The rule is Regulation of the Minister of Trade No. 99 of 2018 concerning General Policy on The Implementation of Crypto Asset Futures Trading and Bappebti (Perba) Regulation Number 5 Year 2019 concerning Technical Provisions for The Implementation of Physical Market of Crypto Assets on Futures Exchange, which has been amended by Perba Number 9 Year 2019, then the Second Amendment with Perba Number 2 Year 2020 and the Third Amendment with Perba Number 3 Year 2020.

"The rule requires futures exchanges, futures clearing institutions, depository traders of crypto assets that have a depository in Indonesia to get Bappebti approval," Sahudi told Kompas.com, Wednesday (2/17/2021).
