What is CLOUT and how can it outperform TRX?

Recently, I went and looked at a new coin listed in HITBTC called CLOUT and I was very impressed. According to their website and alpha release page, it is a decentralized social ecosystem with news aggregation built on the new Ethereum ERC223 platform. It will also contain IPFS/Filecoin capability. So, a bit like a hybrid of TRX and STEEM on the surface. However, looking deeper into the long-term goals, CLOUT can position itself into a full social media platform experience very easily.

At first glance, I was amazed at the planning of how the supply chains are structured. Let's begin with the CLOUT token itself. There will only be 100 million coins on the mainline chain. This is important, because it is hugely contrasting to the TRX supply of 100 billion. In addition, less than ten percent of this supply is in circulation. 

Secondary to the mainline CLOUT chain, there is a child chain called CLC or CLOUT Currency. This is where the STEEM like qualities come in. The maximum supply for CLC tokens is 1 billion. All payments on the social platform itself will be paid in CLC. Additionally if you are holding CLOUT you will get the CLC token in a Proof-of-Stake type reward system, where a 1:1 ratio of CLOUT to CLC will be paid, per year.

So how can it outperform TRX? Largely, the technology is very similar. Filecoin/IPFS/smart contracts. Not much to see there. However, the supply is much more manageable, at 15m currently. Because of this, it should theoretically be able to move more without many walls pushing price down, or many "whales", which is very important for valuation in the modern crypto market. We have all been through this at least once. Additionally, the platform is live though in alpha stage on launch, and it was released before listing in exchanges was a priorty. It is branded, and professional. That is what sets it apart, and why I believe it can outperform competitors in the long haul.

To sum up, would you like TRX style technology with an already developed Steem like platform in alpha on launch with economics that nod to the Bitcoin king? I don't know about you, but for me the answer is yes please.
