How I learned of BTC

I learned about BTC when I first learned about the Silk Road some 6-7 years ago. All I knew back then was that it was like a secret black market that used something called Bitcoin instead of US dollars. Then a few years ago I came across it again, this time due to GPUs being able to mine cryptocurrencies for a small profit, and it was from there I started looking into the underlying technology and the world of crypto.
