Hardware Wallet Trezor will support Bitcoin Cash in the future.
The popular Hardware Wallet Trezor will soon support Bitcoin Cash. This gives the Wallet the long-awaited update that the Bitcoin Cash Community had been calling for a long time.
The marketing manager Bach N. von Trezor announced a few days ago on Twitter that a new address format will be developed that supports Bitcoin Cash. This answer arose from a question from a Bitcoin Cash lover on 01.04.2018.
This announcement should be very welcome to all Trezor owners. Some competitors in this business already offer a wider range of supported currencies, so this move may be seen as a necessity to be and remain competitive.
The new address Cashaddr was originally developed to distinguish between bitcoin core addresses and bitcoin cash. Pavol Rusnack of Satoshi Labs is aiming for an upgrade that makes the distinction between Bitcoin addresses clearer than it currently is.
This is so important, according to the developer, because there were many critical voices in the past who criticized the Bitcoin Cash developers' approach because of the very similar addresses and many users sent Bitcoin Cash to an incorrect receiving address.
Bitcoin Cash Developer Amaury Séchet states that he wants to test and evaluate several variations to find the best solution. In this github post he makes it clear that the user will not change much, only the transaction confirmation message will look different.
At the moment, there is no time limit until when the project should be implemented. Trezor sets an example for Coinbase, which has been integrating Cashaddr since February of this year.

Congragulation Bitcoin.
