Recent Crypto Challenges & The Road Ahead

Cryptocurrency is under attack by individuals and institutions that are attempting to render it irrelevant and unuseful. Very few believers had the foresight in 2008 to predict the growth blockchain technology has experienced. Although cryptocurrency has gained massive support and momentum over the past year, an increasing number of investors have recently entered the market for all the wrong reasons, in contradiction to the visions set forth by cryptocurrency pioneers. Pursuits of quick profits for investors is not what Satoshi envisioned when developing the blockchain together with Bitcoin. Satoshi created cryptocurrency as a means and a mechanism for giving power back to the people, people who have been excluded from prospering within traditional financial systems for many generations. Although rewarding to early adopters, cryptocurrencies are not a “get rich quick” scheme. Cryptocurrency will continue to reward new investors as the transfer of wealth moves from traditional broken financial system into new decentralized projects and communities.For those of you who are not familiar with the Electra Project, the project and blockchain was developed in an effort to streamline Satoshi’s vision. Our goal is to offer a global population of more than 7 billion people a platform to become global citizens. This means having access to the latest technology for transacting in the global marketplace. Electra is a strong community project with a single-minded vision of transforming the world into a better place, a world that gives each and every human the basic rights of financial freedom. Contributors from all over the world have joined the Electra Project with a unique vision and a desire to make a meaningful difference. The part-time and full-time blockchain developers working on the Electra Project are among some of the best in the industry, fully capable of delivering on a well-planned and strategic road map. The primary focus of each member of our community is to continue improving the Electra Project and the technology behind it. Our collaboration and cohesiveness as a community allows for the ongoing development of our skills and the ongoing improvement of our contributions.The price of ECA experienced massive growth in the beginning of January 2018, touching $0.01 before the main exchange listing ECA crashed due to an overwhelming amount of traffic on their servers. The ECA trading volume was almost $7M per day before Coinsmarkets crashed unexpectedly. The Coinsmarkets’ crash severely impacted the momentum of ECA and other coins listed on the exchange. The Coinsmarkets website has been down for almost two months, resulting in many lost opportunities for investors and affecting numerous projects due to investors’ inability to trade or withdraw. There have been many false accusations attempting to link Electra to Coinsmarkets. Some have made claims that Electra’s wallets are not safe. The Electra Community has successfully countered a barrage of fear, uncertainty and doubt during the past two months and can now focus on moving forward. Our team and community of contributors are extremely excited to accomplish what we have set out achieve — giving power back to the people.Although the owners of the Coinsmarkets exchange are still having issues, the exchange has started allowing investors who held ECA to start withdrawing their coins. Coinsmarkets has indicated that other coins will be eligible for withdrawal as soon as they start fixing the coins’ respective databases. The Electra Community will persist in our efforts until each and every Coinsmarkets customer has gained access to all of their coins. We feel it is our obligation, as part of the cryptocurrency community, to help the other projects that have been affected by this unfortunate circumstance. All legitimate cryptocurrency projects have a singular vision to usher in a revolution of emerging technologies, and we are happy to support everyone in this journey.Our potential as a project cannot be underestimated. There are so many upcoming opportunities for development as our community grows each and every day. We strive to see Electra as a top 25 cryptocurrency by the end of 2018.
