Darknet: Monero soon accepted on the black market Dream Market

While cryptocurrencies are beginning to gain ground in the "legal" trade, they are now almost indispensable on the black market. And in addition to Bitcoin, other currencies have also found their place on the darknet, such as Monero which will soon arrive on Dream Market.

For those who don't know it, Dream Market is one of those underground markets that can be found on the dark side of the web, the Darknet. It's even a supermarket of the illegal since there's a little bit of everything, from medicines to counterfeit products, stolen data, drugs and even piracy software.

Until now, visitors to the site that is accessible via the Tor network could pay against Bitcoin or Bitcoin Cash.

Proud of its success, Dream Market decides to expand a little further by adding another cryptomonnaie soon on their platform, the Monero. We do not know the exact date of the integration, but what is certain is that users of Dream Market will soon be able to pay for their orders in XMR.

But why Monero instead of another altcoin?
The XMR was chosen by the managers of Dream Market, to better guarantee the anonymity of customers. Indeed, it is thanks to his ability to be untraceable that Monero was able to win the confidence of the black markets and cybercriminals at the expense of Bitcoin. The XMR has already been integrated as a payment option on the Darknet's most popular black market, Alphabay, at least before it closed in July 2017.

With respect to the implementation of this new system, Dream Market vendors will be notified to accept XMR payments for future orders. Only advertisements from vendors who have accepted the application will display the Monero option.
