You Can Become a Certified Ethereum Developer Soon!
Certified Ethereum Developer courses have been limited until recently. Crypto Consortium is in the process of developing an online course which will allow the individual to become a Certified Ethereum Developer, known as a CED. The course will be in English and will allow certification for 2 years, at which the person can re-certify every 2 years.
A Certified Ethereum Developer is educated on Ethereum transactions, Ethereum blockchain, the language of Solidarity programming, and has the ability to use Solidarity programming on the Ethereum Network to create smart contracts.
In order to become a CED through Crypto Consortium, the individual must display functional comprehension of 3 domains, including 14 topics, based on Ethereum. These domains are: Intro to Smart Contracts, Solidarity in Depth, and Common Design Patterns.
The Topics of Intro to Smart Contracts are: Smart Contracts, Blockchain Basics, and Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM). The topics of Solidarity in Depth are: Contracts, Types, Units and Globally Available Variables, Expressions and Control Structures, Contracts, and Libraries. The topics on the last domain, Common Design Patterns, are: Restricting Access, Factory Patterns, Token Systems, Registries, and Voting Systems.
Becoming a Certified Ethereum Developer would be beneficial to many careers, but in particular would benefit highly: Developers, Application Architects, Programmers, Cryptocurrency Enthusiasts, Software Engineers, and people who apply Ethereum into their lives on a daily basis.
The exam is timed, and the test taker is allowed a maximum of 60 minutes. There are a total of 70 questions which are both multiple choice and true/false. The test requires 70% to apply for certification, on the 14 Ethereum related topics. The test can be taken again if 70% isn’t reached, but the exam fee must be repaid. Once the fee is paid, there is no due date of when the test must be taken. The reason behind the test being timed 60 minutes is to cause the test taker not enough time to resort to an online search engine.
There are other ways to become a Certified Ethereum Developer, but this course allows the individual to do gain all the knowledge in his or her own home, along with the benefit of being able to take the test wherever the person prefers.
The final details, including the costs, are still being decided, but this course and certification will be available soon. Crypto Consortium offered the Certified Bitcoin Professional Course with a lot of success, so it can be imagined that this will be highly successful too.
