Honestly, people were warned about the risks. After months and months of uptrend it had, I was like, "Maybe they can go on with this for another few months without problems. Even with all the obvious red flags." But no. Trevon went live and it was difficult to even watch that live stream. I have a mixed feeling about this. He referred people to something really shady but also it's the investors' duty to do their own research and to make proper decisions. Viewers went berserk and spammed death threats, legal actions, etc. This situation is crazy and probably leave a mark in newspapers too.
I don't know if this is it though. I have a feeling that they won't go away this easily. Scammers don't do that unless they are forced to do that.
The people behind Bitconnect have insane profits, still. Also, I doubt they haven't anticipated a situation like this.
They'll just start a new one, a tweaked, brand new pyramid and brainwash the next wave of crypto investors. Or simply drink cocktails and live happily close to a beach with palm trees for the rest of their lives. Investing in whatever they want, fooling people here and there in a less obvious way.
But the people who went allin in this shitcoin and kept reinvesting had their lesson. I am curious about its price action in the next 24 hours.
p.s. And they indeed start a new one... It's Bitconnectx and as I see they try out a staking coin now...

Yup, but even if some people got in it, they could at least redistribute their profits but most of them just kept reinvesting in this. Pure insanity!
