Yahoo Finance is a thing? I didn't know Yahoo still existed lol. What is so great about crypto, is that there's so much to learn, and the nerd in me enjoys learning something new every day.

Last September, Yahoo Finance launched an app where you can make trades in the stock market. Prior to this, Yahoo Finance was just a news outlet, reporting updates about the stock market as well as other news. By the way, I also recently learned about Google Finance too, but it's nowhere near as cool. Google Finance is basically just a website where you can research more about stocks and other news.

Anyway, Yahoo Finance works for clients of Fidelity, Scottrade, E-Trade and other services. Users just have to select the “link broker accounts” tab on the app to get started, and their portfolios will be loaded into the app. As of this week, users of the app can now also trade Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Litecoin too! Last year they partnered with Robinhood, which I'm sure is the reason why they have been able to do this now.

Several weeks ago, I posted an article about how the co-founder of Google basically admitted they dropped the ball when it came to innovation regarding crypto and blockchain. I read somewhere that they are about 4 years behind in tech in order to be ready to produce products for the crypto market. Oh well, you snooze, you lose Google! Perhaps one of the reasons why they fell behind the innovation train was because they are too wealthy to care. I strongly believe it will be companies, like Yahoo, that stay hungry that will become the leaders for innovation and push us towards mass adoption. As of last fall, Yahoo Finance's monthly users added up to 75 million. Although this number is small compared to the number of monthly users for Google's search engine, Yahoo Finance will now be exposing at least 75 million users/investors to the crypto market every month. That's 75 million more people who will learn about crypto, and can also potentially invest in it! Evangelize + Educate = Invest sounds like a solid plan to me! Good job Yahoo, and welcome to the crypto community!
