Can Bitcoin or other kinds of Cryptocurrency beat down the U.S. dollar hegemony? Why and how?

I don't think it's gonna happen any time soon. The reason is, while Bitcoin is fast, secured and decentralized, the value is quite small compared to the US Dollar. Furthermore, as a great mean of transfer, Bitcoin has not set a standard for value definition, and right now, the value of Bitcoin is just from the supply/demand of the market.
