There is a lot going on in the digital asset markets, so much that people seem to have forgotten what things looked like just a few short months ago. Prices quietly broke out in December 2020 which caught the attention of the general public into January. After all time new highs in BTC, ETH, large caps, and a rally in altcoins speculative mania has reached a short term boiling point. The number of wallets that hold Bitcoin for 30 days or less has noticeably increased since January, indicating speculative activity. As FUD about regulation and BTC energy dominate the headlines people are genuinely nervous about crypto putting in a top for this 'cycle'. Bitcoin could drop back into the $30-40K price range which would be both within historical averages and measured Fibonacci retracements. A lot of short term leverage traders and new hodlers may get shaken out which in my humble, non-professional opinion would present an opportunity for institutions to come in and buy the dip.
