We determine our destinations not our destinies.

When I was a boy my dad asked me if I rather get paid to push a shovel or push a pen. I said the obvious answer, push a pen; but in my mind at that time, I thought either-or, it didn't really matter to me, I was willing to push a shovel or a pen, whatever pays the best.

Thirty years later, a man thinks differently than when he did when he was just starting out. My answer is still the same today as it was then but my thoughts about pushing a shovel has change.

It's not pushing the shovel that is the problem, the problem is the shovel takes man power and the pen takes brain power. People like to see man power, but people respect brain power. The pen holds more power than the shovel.

This is why I am writing, and not worried about whether someone else see what I'm doing or not. We are taught in the matrix to seek external validation because it seems louder than the validation within. Your instincts should guide your external senses. Which is why the wise often say follow your gut. It takes a few times to learn when you've ignored your gut feeling, and seen the results to help you understand how to trust your wisdom.

It's hard to push a shovel, once you've met somebody who gets paid tens of thousands of dollars just to talk about people push shovels for a living. We're taught as boys a hard working man is respected, I believe he should be; but I also know now that he's not.

The man digging the ditch at a construction site is most often the least paid man in the group; and the man holding the clip board is getting paid more but the man who drafted the blueprint got paid first and cannot be seen at the scene.

In reality people don't respect a man because of how hard he works, they respect him by what he is able to produce for them; which tends to be either wealth or security . Producing wealth and digging ditches are two different journeys. Building wealth means exchanging high value products and services to the public frequently, something anyone can do from a laptop of computer. This is 2022, things are a lot different than they were 2 years ago.

Wouldn't it be cool to wake up in the morning, take you kids to school, come home write a blog post, respond to a few emails and messages, get paid a few grand and go on about your day. That's could be life, this year. Follow me for more info.
