good time to buy Altcoin . ( my opinion )
It is your choice to enter BTC war to get 10% to 20% profit or to use your BTC to douple it with Altcoin in a smart way .
with any rise of Bitcoin other Altcoin price decrease , that is logical if we consider BTC to Altcoin price but why dollar $ to Altcoin price also go down , that i think because most people sell all their altcoin and purchase BTC in hope to get like 5% to 10% profit the other reason is that all BTC holder continue to hold and most day trade go to BTC armed with all their saving and overall volume for Altcoin go down also .
In this days chance appear for investor and swing trader because simply they buy Altcoin with lowest price possible ( some time half its price ) without any noticeable competition thank for BTC chaser , and when BTC settle and start to hover between new support and resistant same Altcoin price rise again first because it been sold cheaper and second BTC rise gave Altcoin value indirectly , it will automatically regain its BTC to Altcoin price .
WArning : With day trading it is totally different you should follow the trend and sync with it .
Because of my work nature mainly i am investing and do long swing trade in crypto and this is my humble opinion to not follow the crowd in that , when people sell a lot i do my research to find a good reason to buy .
So what am doing now is trying to Buy Altcoin in lowest price possible and i did that with 25% of my BTC so far :)

The low altcoin prices will continue as long as Bitcoin keeps rising. As soon as it slows down some money will return to altcoins.

but Altcoin go down far more than BTC rise , that is way am going the other way
i mean Altcoin going down 30% to 50% . while BTC rising 10% to 30% so far .

I started to buy last night, but the only alt coin I buy is steem, and I am mining monero, last night I bought 0.012 btc of steem, and will buy about 0.05 btc each day while the price is low

I'll be looking for good deals in the dips. The hard part will be discerning where the bottom of those dips are. That's a guessing game. I'm holding BTC, XMR, FCT, DASH, STEEM and MAID at the moment. I keep my BTC off the exchange for the most part, but the others I lend out to the margin traders to earn interest. STEEM I power up whenever I buy. Most likely, I'll be looking for cheap buys on the above coins. In the area of margin trading, it's all shorts, for me atm. I don't bother with long anymore. I wait for what I think is a peak in a price and I short.

BTC may rise up to 2000$ , if so then i will loos money :)
But that is unlikely because no good reason for BTD to rise that much , i mean no special thing happened except some news about Trump Picks a Bitcoin Supporter to be U.S. Budget Director that is just a news , add no much value to BTC regarding it is user ( mass adoption ) , development or official recognition tell now .
Yes, this may be a good time to buy Alts.
