When carrying out roadshows to various regions in Indonesia, a crypto observer discovered many crypto offers that were indicated to be scam or fraud.

"He is worried, because there are so many who offer crypto scams," said Hara's Founder and CEO, when met on the Indonesia Blockchain Hub. This concern is very reasonable, because, the transaction value of this scam crypto is not small.

"People who cheated a lot, not Rp. 100-Rp. 200 million, but billions. Until someone sells the land ".

Like real crypto projects, fake crypto sellers also claim to carry out Initial Coin Offering (ICO). For people who already understand the world of crypto, it is certainly not difficult to distinguish which ICO is true and have good prospects and which are not.

However, not all people have an understanding of crypto problems and the technology behind them, namely blockchain. To distinguish between true and fake cryptos / scams, there are a number of suggestions that can be used as guidelines.

  • First, make sure the crypto has its utility. What is the use of crypto? So, crypto must have benefits. Crypto must be able to overcome the problem. Then what and how does crypto work in its economic process.

  • Second, make sure the project is built using blockchain technology. To be sure to use the blockchain or not, it can simply be traced on GitHub. "Just check the code on Github then ask them to display".

  • Third, trace the track record of the team working on the project, do you have experience working on the blockchain project.

  • Fourth, make sure where the office is also. Because, based on experience, we find many crypto project offers on Youtube. But the office is not clear, there is no office address. Office photos alone don't exist.

  • Fifth, don't invest in crypto because you join in, for example because there are many Telegram members, it turns out that most of them are bot accounts.
