In the Year of Crypto 2018, If you like collecting free crypto, there's a ton of them to be had at the moment. They're usually anywhere between $.50 & $10 nominal value but some give away a couple of thousand tokens which could end up at maybe $1 each. *Hey who knows? There's a real explosion of them and I'm sure some of them will not last the year, but I have found some interesting projects giving away decent amounts of coins and who doesn't like free stuff? They are smart operators, they realise that giving out tokens to existing crypto people is the best way to generate interest in their project from the wider community. Cryptonauts can & will get the word out ! just like I'm doing here..
No referral LINKS
I'm playing by steemit's rules so you can push that slider all the way up to 100%, there's no referral links in this post. The Short List
Here's a short list of ICO's giving out free coins for sign up. Get telegram installed for as many free coins as you can carry. You generally have to
- click a link
- join a telegram group
- sign up with a chatbot
- enter your ethereum address
... and then you get given an option referral link to earn more by sharing with your friends. They don't all ask for your ethereum address so you may need to go back later to claim tokens so I'd advise keeping detailed notes of what you do or you'll probably forget what you did, where you went, who got your details. I cannot guarantee the veracity of any or all of these projects. You generally just need an Ethereum address to collect your free coins. Be careful, you may need your email address too but if anyone asks for more or it just doesn't feel right google it. There will be scams out there. Don't mix up your public and private addresses up & never give out your private keys to ANYONE.

AS ALWAYS I RECOMMEND YOU conduct your own research and due diligence before investing in any projects, that includes free coins, which end up being a total waste of your time. Imagine if someone had airdropped you 2,000 xrp, antshares or lisk a year or so ago ! that would be a story.

thanks @fraenk. I see so many referral links in steemit posts and some high profile people posting referrals for blatant scams which were massively obvious and have since been revealed as such. It would be nice to be able to recommend great free stuff but I agree that it shouldn't really be a part of steemit. I've just had an idea !! I'll be back
