Is IOTA Coin a Sleeping Giant?

Today I want to talk about IOTA coin. Is IOTA a sleeping giant?

The Internet of Things IOT is next layer of the internet where devices and machines can interact with one another without the need of human intervention. IOTA uses a technology different from blockchain called "The Tangle". The Tangle promises to be have no fees and to be more efficient than blockchain technology. While it's not clear if the Tangle tech is better than blockchain, IOTA coin is positioning itself to be the industry standard for the IOT. If successful, the value of IOTA might surge.

The only thing wrong about iota is the massive number of coins.

for the network to work, it has to have a massive amount of coins.

I think Iota only has about 33% more "coins" than Bitcoin. It's better to think of an Iota as on the same magnitude as a satoshi (not exactly though).

Thanks for the breakdown CC, I'm still on the fence but definitely interested. Will be interesting to see what happens w/this one.

I certainly feel that IOTA is an interesting piece of tech. It's at a price now where a small investment could have a huge return in a couple of years. I think it's worth considering a bit more.

Bought a few MIOTS just as they came out on Bitrex then got SAVAGED by whales dumping. Learned a valuable lesson though so it's all cool. Maybe one day it'll BOOM!! X

I disagree a bit. Circulating Supply is way high. If it does take off, it will take some time. But this article shows it might be good news.

Valid point. Thanks for you reply. You're not the only one questioning supply but don't neglect that at some point large amounts of inexpensive disposable devices could be connected to the IOT.

I tried to install IOTA on a Raspberry Pi but I couldn't quite figure it out. I think IOTA needs some more development/clarity but the concept is solid, it's unique and so it should have a much better shot at success than most of the vapid overpriced ICOs.

I admit I had trouble installing the IOTA desktop wallet but the mobile version works fine.

It is a interesting idea but I am very skeptical of IOTA clients getting installed on IOT devices in enough numbers to sustain the network

I most likely going to be invest some into iota. Thanks
