Biggest Theft In Crypto History: Over $400MM Stolen From Japanese Crypto Exchange (01/26/2018), the reason why crypt market is bearish.

in #crypto-news7 years ago

I always keep on saying, please do not keep your crypto assets on exchanges, it does not belongs to you, I already experienced loss with coinsmarkets.com, I learned the lesson hard way and moved all my crypto to my wallet.

And now today it was reported early morning that cryptocurrencies tumbled overnight after one of the most popular - if unlicensed - Japanese exchanges, Coincheck, halted withdrawals of funds and cryptos amid broad confusion as to what prompted the halt. Additionally, Coincheck said it had stopped deposits into NEM coins, a hint that something was very wrong with what until last night was the 10th-largest cryptocurrency by market value, and which tumbled nearly 20% overnight, dragging the rest of the sector lower as news of the Coincheck fiasco spread.

After effect of hack on NEM coin.

Guys I repeat, please do not keep your crypto assets on exchange, if you are planning to hold them for a long term, please move it to your hard ware wallet.

What do you guys have to say about this?
